What and who are you applauding? Is the leading actor/actress in the audience? Maybe the director is there for some reason? Nobody working at your local theater had anything to do with the movie you just watched. Are you applauding the theater manager or the ticket taker? Ooh, ooh maybe the 17 year old kid who shines his flashlight on the high school kids making out in the back row. If you watch a movie for the first time at home do you clap at your own tv? I really just don't understand. Is it the mob mentaliy? Because other people are clapping, you feel you have to as well?
I feel like I could do an entire year of entries based soley on the things that bother me at movie theaters but for the time being I will just start with this gem.
